Unit B Sponsored Lecture “A Development Research Study on Prosperity and Happiness: A Case from Bhutan”
(The Fourth Global COE Sponsored Lecture)
This lecture is one of the joint studies of Global COE Unit B and Unit D of the “International Comparative Study on Happiness”. The lecture will discuss how happiness and human satisfaction have been evaluated from the perspective of development using a case from Bhutan whose people have reported a high level of happiness despite a lower economic level. We will try to understand the similarities and differences in the question of what happiness is in the fields of education, psychology, and sociology. We expect a heated discussion beyond these fields. No reservation is needed and admission is free. We look forward to your visit.
