Utilizing the evaluative and potency scales of the semantic differential, this study examined differences in perceptions of three feeling states, Love, Anger, and Guilt, among university students from the United States and Thailand. It was found that students from the United States rated the potency of Love higher and evaluated the concept of Anger higher than students from Thailand. There were no significant gender differences when males and females from the two countries were compared.
