The
impact of culture on manifest needs was investigated by administering
Tripathi Personal Preference Schedule to 200 Hindu (100 males, 100
females) and 200 Muslim (100 males, 100 females) college students
of Bhagalpur University. It was found that the male and female subjects
of two religious groups differed significantly in almost similar
way. Hindus were high in achievement, autonomy and endurance needs
while Muslims were high in deference, order, affiliation and heterosexuality
needs.
