Asian
Applications of Raven's Progressive Matrices
J.H. Court |
An
overview of the Asian literature dealing with all forms of Raven's
Matrices-Advanced, Standard and Coloured. These non-verbal, culture-fair
tests have been widely used as a satisfactory measure of "g," and
especially in countries where most Western tests are inappropriate.
Normative studies in several Asian countries indicated their suitability
for many cultures, as well as their wide age range. Comparisons across
cultures contribute helpfully to debates about the origin of ethnic
differences in cognitive abilities.
